We have exciting news! On August 15, 2019, Paul Allen, Co-Owner & President of R.C. Hatton Farms, Inc. was appointed to the Board of Directors of Sugar Cane Growers Cooperative. He will be filling the unexpired term ending January 2020 of R.C. Hatton’s other co-owner, Roger Hatton. Mr. Hatton who has been a Director of the Cooperative since 2006, recently submitted his resignation from the Board after his many years of dedication in order to focus on spending more time with his family.
Cooperative Chairman, John L. Hundley welcomed Paul to his appointment by stating, “We welcome our younger members stepping up to the plate and taking on leadership roles.” In response, Paul accepted the appointment by saying, “I’m honored to be asked to serve on the Board. I hope to play an active role in helping to contribute to the continued success of the Cooperative.”
Not only is Paul dedicated to R.C. Hatton Farms, and sister companies Performance Packaging, Performance NAPA, and D&D Ag, he is also passionate about serving the community. He is the Director of the South Florida Fair, as well as the Sponsorship Committee Chair, the President of the Sunshine Sweet Corn Farmers of Florida, and also Chairman of the Florida Fruit & Vegetable Association. In addition, he serves on the Advisory Committee of IFAS, the Advisory Committee of South Florida Farm Credit, and is also the Director of the Advisory Council for Fresh From Florida FDACS. As if didn’t keep him busy enough, Paul is also President of the Light House Café of the Glades, the Pahokee Chamber of Commerce, a Trustee of the East Beach Water Control District, a Board Member of LORE of the Glades, a Board of Member of Dunklin Memorial Church, and a member of the Pahokee Rotary Club.
We are honored to have Paul as a leader within our organization, as well as throughout the community. His hard work and dedication are inspiring! On behalf of the entire R.C. Hatton Farms team, we are honored to congratulate Paul on this accomplishment.
