Congratulations to fellow local farmer Keith Wedgworth for being named Florida Farm Bureau’s 2021 Volunteer Communicator of the Year.
Keith is a fourth-generation farmer in South Florida. Wedgworth is a respected spokesperson and authoritative voice for local agriculture. His ability to share agriculture’s story across digital and traditional platforms bridges the gap between a farm and non-farm audience.
Wedgworth is vice president of Wedgworth Farms, a 10,000-acre sugar cane and rice farm in the Everglades Agricultural Area. He also manages the family’s fertilizer business and 10,000- acre cattle ranch.
Wedgworth is also a respected member of the farming and business community of the Everglades Agricultural Area and the Coastal Business Community of Palm Beach County.
